Mandy Elliott
Mandy decided to train as a massage therapist after remedial massage treatment helped her through her own back and neck pain.

Mandy is committed to working within each person’s tolerance using deep tissue massage techniques to find that ‘hurts good’ level of response, where the body can remain in a relaxed state and allow tension to release and the healing process to move forward.

Using a wealth of assessment skills and remedial massage techniques – including soft tissue release, trigger point work, myofascial release and Muscle Energy Techniques – each massage evolves to suit the individual.

Mandy is dedicated to helping you help yourself and will often recommend stretches and exercises to fit in with your lifestyle. Any stretches will be demonstrated before you leave, a full description with pictures and video can be emailed to assist with home practice. If appropriate, Mandy may signpost you to other forms of exercise, therapies or theories that might help you get to where you want to be.

In April 2012 Mandy graduated with Distinction after 12 months study and practice towards a Diploma in Sports Injury and Massage – training with esteemed physiotherapist and author Jane Johnson.
